About Cadair View Lodge

This is me... Sue... sitting overlooking the Menai Straits in a rare moment off duty! When you contact Cadair View Lodge it'll more often than not be me that you speak to or receive an email from.

Back in the early 1990's my family were given the use Sue, director at Cadair View Lodge Ltd of a log cabin on Trawsfynydd Holiday Village. We were soon spending every weekend there (it was only a 70 minute drive from home in Wrexham) and most of the school holidays. We explored the area with our young family and made friends locally.

In 2003, after being made redundant from careers in IT we bought another log cabin to rent out... it was only meant to be one more cabin. Within the year we'd bought another cabin to rent and other owners on the Village, seeing how our business was growing and loving our standard of customer service approached us to manage their cabins too.

We learnt the business as we went along and offered our guests what we'd want for ourselves on holiday - knowledgeable staff, friendly customer service, flexibility over stay lengths and arrival times, a "can do" attitude and a good standard of accommodation.

So... 14 years on. My family has grown up, life has changed, technology has changed, cabins have come and gone (several owners sold up after the 2008 financial crisis) but the core values are still maintained.

Thanks to the reviews received from our guests over the past 12 months we've just received our second TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.

We have also won “Best Self Catering Log Cabin 2017” awarded by SME Welsh Enterprise.

Although we now have an online booking system I still love speaking directly to our guests, hearing their stories and helping them to plan their stay with us. Many of our regular guests are now almost like family. Some have done their "courting" with us, proposed on our decks in the moonlight and are now bringing their children to stay with us.

If you'd prefer to make an enquiry or booking over the phone you'll usually find me in the office Monday to Friday 9.30am to 6.30pm. Outside of those hours I may not answer the phone but if you leave me a message (or drop me an email) I'll get back to you as soon as I can - usually well within 24 hours.
