Romantic Breaks In Snowdonia A Speciality

There's no better place in Snowdonia to have a romantic break with your partner.  The location is superb with dramatic sunsets and clear starry nights.  There is lots to do in the area but it is also an ideal place to relax and do nothing but spend time together.Sparkling wine for romantic break at Cadair View Lodge

Whilst none of our log cabins have log fires most of them do have balconies, fairy lit verandas and views to die for.

We are often the venue for proposals... some more spontaneous than others

"During our Christmas stay I proposed to Kelly.  It was the perfect setting and a total surprise to Kelly but luckily for me she said YES!! We had a lovely meal in Portmeirion on the Friday night and the cabin looked so beautiful with the Christmas lights when we got back I got down on 1 knee and 'Popped the question'!!!  Obviously we have nothing but happy memories of our time at Cadair View lodges."

We know of some excellent, romantic and unusual locations for marriage proposals.  Would you like to propose to your loved one by candlelight underground?  Or how about proposing whilst dangling from a rope on the side of a cliff?  Which would scare you more - the proposal or the abseil?  Or you can now propose whilst on a llama trek in Coed y Brenin with the llama carrying the ring or champagne for you?

We can also provide an ideal honeymoon location.  As part of a honeymoon package we can provide bedding and have the bed made up for you.   We can have champagne, flowers, fruit and chocolates supplied.  We just need you to tell us what would make your stay extra special… and give us some notice!

“We had a wonderful Honeymoon in Ty Coed, and have come home with memories to last forever.  From the moment of arrival right through to the day we left everything was perfect, and we would like to thank you for making our arrival so welcoming and hassle free.".

We've provided the accommodation for wedding parties, if you are being married in the area too.

We're also a great place to spend time with your special someone.

"Just thought I'd send a quick email to say how delighted we were with our stay in Snowdonia. The lodge was fantastic and very cosy. We loved every minute of it  Thank you again for the great welcome - it was perfect after the long journey.  I can honestly put my hand on my heart and say this was the best short break we've had and we will most certainly be considering coming back for a longer stay hopefully in the not too distant future.”

All of our cabins are cosy and romantic but my personal favourite is Ty Coed.

We no longer have any cabins that sleep just 2 people but we do still offer a Couples' Price.  This means that a couple, coming to stay by themselves, will be charged the price of a cabin which sleeps just 2 people but will be upgraded to a larger cabin which sleeps 4-6 people.  There breaks can currently only be booked by phone or email - CLICK HERE to see how to contact us.

We will always do our best to fulfil your special requests.  Ask when booking about places for picnics, romantic walks, sunset places and places to eat out.

Fancy a relaxing massage during your stay?  Contact The South Snowdonia Soft Tissue + Massage Therapy Centre at Coed y Brenin (2 minutes drive from our log cabins) for more information.  Gift vouchers available.  Discounts available for our guests.

Or how about treating a loved one to a session at Lavish Beauty + Holistic Therapy in Barmouth.  Again discounts are available for our guests.

The Most Romantic Day in Wales! The Welsh Patron Saint of Lovers is St Dwynwen.  Her saints day is 25th January.  Read Legend of St Dwynwen's HERE.  Why not visit us to celebrate the day and visit Llanddwyn (about 90 minutes drive) where she used her final wish to ensure that all lovers visiting the location together would be happy for the rest of their lives.

Also keep in touch to find out about the Love Dolgellau festival which runs from St Dwynwen’s Day to Valentines’ Day each year.  Lots of special events and offers.

We welcome gay, lesbian, transgender, same sex couples and their families to stay with us.
