Snowdonia National Park

Tomb Raider 2, Lara Croft and the Cradle of Life

The main locations were Nant Gwynant and Llyn Gwynant near Beddgelert.  Other scenes were filmed at Pen Y Pass, Moel Siabod, Fynnon Llugwy and the Alexandra Slate Quarry near Carmel where a 100ft drop down a cliff was filmed.  A motorbike race was filmed and along and near a "Great Wall of China" which was filmed at Pen y Pass with the wall being created using CGI.  Originally many of these scenes were meant to be filmed in China but the authorities refused permission.  There is ia North Wales Movie Map plaque to the film at Seiont Manor Hotel, Llanrug near Caernarfon
