We respect the privacy of those who visit our web site and those who provide personally identifiable information, our guests, potential guests and members of our mailing lists. In accordance with this, please take note of the privacy commitment to our website users.

Information Collection + Use

We use tracking information to determine which areas our site users visit based on traffic to those areas. Our system logs and records your IP address, dates and times of site visits, the pages visited, type of browser and cookie information. This data is only used to measure the number of visitors to the site, to help us maintain a superior and informative website for you and will not be used to identify you.

Also, IP addresses, pages visited, dates and times of visit are recorded by our online chat system. Again this information is not used to identify you.

Visitors may decide to send an enquiry via the site in which may be included personally identifying information. Such information is only used to enable a suitable response and to follow-up that response if appropriate. This information will be not shared with anybody outside of Cadair View Lodge.

Visitors booking through the online system will need to provide their name, address, phone number and email address. This information is used solely for the purpose of processing the booking and is not shared with anybody who is not directly involved with your stay. Any payment information entered on the online booking site is not shared with us.

Visitors booking by phone or email will also need to provide their name, address, phone number and email address. This information is used solely for the purpose of processing the booking and is not shared with anybody who is not directly involved with your stay. Anything that is physically written down during phone calls will be shredded (in our office) after use. We prefer that information is entered by guests into the online system or is given by phone rather than by email. Guests sending personal information by email do so at their own risk.

Information gathered from enquiries and bookings is held on our office systems and backed up to disk. Members of the public do not have access to our offices. Information pertaining to a booking will be held until the stay is completed and followed up (by email). Guests will then be invited to join our mailing lists to receive information in the future. The information of guests not wishing to join our mailing lists will be archived after 3 months (names, dates of stay and cabins occupied will be held) and not used to contact guests in the future.

Our mailing lists are currently being managed by Mailchimp. Visitors signing up to our mailing lists will receive general and more targeted (e.g. mountain biking specific, running specific) email mailings. In order to do this we will hold details of names and email addresses and some basic preferences. Visitors may unsubscribe from this service at any point either by emailing us or via the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of each email.

Visitors contacting us via social media share personal information via these platforms, at their own risk.
